
The upgrade reduces studio energy consumption by up to 45 percent and prevents more than 780 tons of carbon from entering the environment. The studio upgrade project was completed at Cox's studios in Atlanta (WSB-TV), Charlotte (WSOC-TV), Orlando (WFTV) and Seattle (KIRO-TV).

Thanks to the help of Malcolm Barnard, a 2011 Cox Conserves Hero finalist in Atlanta, Johns Creek has been designated a National Wildlife Federation Community Wildlife Habitat.
